Veg Manchurian Recipe


Vegetable Manchurian Gravy is yet another delicously spicy and soupy manchurian variation
prepared with vwgetables like cabbage, carrot and capsicum. Whether you serve it as a spicy
chew soup starter or as an accompainment to Chinese schezwan fried rice. Deep fried veg balls i
dipped in spicy gravy or cornflour is surely going to make your taste buds happiest one in the
town.


Veg Manchurian Banane Ke Liye Avshayak Samagri
(for manchurian balls)

1. 1/3cup maida

2. 2tbsp cornflour

3. 3/4cup shredded carrot

4. 3/4 cup shredded cabbage

5. 1/2cup finely chopped capsicum

6. 1 finely choped green chilli

7. 1/2tsp pepper powder

8. 1 pinch Ajinmoto (MSG), optional

9. 1tsp+ for deep frying cooking oil


(for gravy)

1. 2tsp crushed ginger

2. 2 green chillies, slit and cut it into halves

3. 1tsp minsed garlic

4. 2tsp finely choped spring onion

5. 1tbsp cooking oil

6. 2tbsp soy sauce

7. 1/2tbsp chilli sauce

8. 2tbsp tomato ketchup

9. 1tsp pepper powder

10. 2tbsp cornflour

11. 1cup + 2cups water

12. Salt


Directions for making manchurian balls:

1. Take a bowl, add shredded carrot, shredded cabbage, chopped capsicum
   and chopped green chilli, 1tsp oil, pepper powder, a pinch of ajinomoto,
   maida, cornflour and salt.

2. Mix all ingredients properly. Prepare small round shaped balls from the
   mix. Do not add water in the mix for making balls as water from vegetables
   will be sufficient to bind them. In case mix is not binding properly and
   small balls cannot be made, add some water in the mixture.

3. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry prepared balls on medium flame until they turn
   golden brown. Drain excess oil and transfer them to plate

Directions for making gravy:

1. Dissolve 2tbsp cornflour in a 1 cup normal water.

2. Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan. Add minced ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chilli
   and chopped spring onion. Saute for a minute. Add soy sauce, chilli sauce and
   tomato ketchup and saute for a minute.

3. Pour 2 cups water, pepper powder and salt. Bring mixture to boil over medium flame.
   When itt starts boiling, let it boil for a minute.

4. Add dissolved cormflour in a pan . Mix alll gravy ingredients properly. Cook it on low
   flame for 1-2 minutes.

5. Add fried balls and cook for 3 minutes over medium flame.

6. Turn off flame and garnish it with spring onion. Enjoy hot and spicy veg cabbage manchurian
   with chinese fried rice or veg noodles.
