Healthy hot and sour chicken soup recipe

Hot And Sour Chicken Soup Recipe

Hot & Sour is the only soup which I order all time...We will go to a near by restaurant often and
I will order this soup along with crispy fish fingers..Hmmm...This taste so awesome..I love adding
egg and chicken in this soup..I love the taste of it..But if you wish you could make it entirely
vegetarian..Skip the chicken and egg part in this recipe and add lots of vegetables...


Ingrdients:

1. Chicken-1/2 kg

2. Carrot- 1/2cup shredded

3. Cabbage- 1/2cup shredded

4. Egg- 1

5. Tomato Ketchup- 1tbsp or to taste

6. Soy sauce- 1tbsp or to taste

7. Vinegar -1tsp or to taste

8. Red chilli paste- 1tsp or to taste

9. Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp

10. Salt to tste

11. Sugar- 1tsp

12. Pepper to taste

13. Cornflour- 1tbsp mixed with some cold water

14. Butter- 1tbsp

15. Cilantro- as needed


Method:

1. Take some water in a sauce pan and bring that to boil..Add in the chicken and cook
   until it is cooked all the way through..Remove that and allow it to cool down..
   Chop it finely and set aside.

2. Now drain the stock through a fine sieve and take it in a bowl..Add red chilli paste,
   soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup in this stock and mix well.Set this aside for a moment.

3. Now melt some butter in a sauce pan..Add in ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 min.

4. Add in carrot and cabbage and mix well..Cook this for 5 mins.

5. Pour the stock over the veggies and mix well.

6. Season with salt and sugar and mix well..

7. Now add in the chicken pieces and mix well..Simmer this for 10 mins..

8. Add in the cornflour slurry slowly in this and keep mixing until the soup thickens..

9. Drizzle in one beaten egg and mix well..Off the flame immediately..

10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and mix well.

11. Serve hot..
