Paneer Kofta Recipe
This is yet another classic Punjabi recipe of North Indian cuisine.
This paneer recipe has two seperate parts, first make kofta with paneer
and then make tomato based gravy. Whether you are looking for paneer kofta
recipe to serve it as a snack or as a curry with gravy for sumptuous meal,
this easy recipe will satisfy your needs and excite your plate.
Ingredients :
. Paneer mashed 250g
. Milk finely chopped 1 cup
. Salt to taste
. Raisins 6
. Tomato 1 medium
. Oil 1 tbsp + to deep fry
. Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
. Coriander powder 1 tbsp
. Onion chopped 2 medium
. Cream 1/2 cup
Method :
Step 1
Mix together cottage cheese, half of the onion, salt and raisins in a bowl.
Step 2
Grind remaining onions and tomato to a fine paste. Divide into small portions and roll into balls.
Step 3
Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the balls on medium heat till golden brown.
Step 4
Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan. Add onion-tomato puree and sauté
for five to six minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for two minutes more.
Step 5
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well. Cook for one minute.
Step 6
Add milk and simmer for two to three minutes. Add dry fruit paste and mix well. Add fresh cream. Check the seasonings.
Step 7
Add the fried balls and mix.Cover with a lid and cook for three to four minutes.
Step 8
Serve hot.
